BCN Early Career Support and Mentoring

Supporting young researchers in the vulnerable early phase of their career is important to us. The BCN has initiated an individualized Early Career Support and Mentoring Program to support young basic science and clinical researchers. A large panel of BCN senior members has signed up to provide support, for instance in the following areas:

– Providing career advice (typically a session over coffee, around 1 hour)

– Proof reading key group funding grants (Emmy Noether, Heisenberg, VW,       ERC StG)

– Providing input on presentations for high-impact funding mechanisms (i.e. for the ERC presentations)

– Hosting solutions for particular high-impact techniques that might be required.

Support is not limited to these categories. If you as an early career researcher would like to avail yourself of this opportunity, please contact the BCN chair via e-mail with a brief explanation of your requirements (heinz.beck@ukbonn.de).

The BCN will then suggest colleagues to you who are participating in this programme and whose expertise fits your needs.
